Šiauliai Zokniai Primary School (former 19th secondary school) was established in 1979. At that time it was a Russian secondary school. The first Lithuanian class opened in 1993 on September 1. It was attended by 37 first-graders. Until 1997, the school was mixed: instruction was provided in Lithuanian and Russian.
On September 1, 1997, only Lithuanian classes remained at the school.
